Who's a good boy?

It has been awhile since I have written on the blog, and I can't think of anything better to come back with, than helping Samson. No, he is not a former Vick dog, but, he is a little engine! For those of you on the Little Engines page, you may remember the little deaf man who was slated for euthanasia if a foster could not be found for him. Well, one was found, and we need to pull together again, to help him find his forever home. We did so well the first time around, I believe we can make this a home  run.


Presently, Samson lives on the outskirts of Montreal, Quebec, in Laval. His fosters are willing to let him travel a little further, so he can be with his perfect family. You will see, looking at the videos, that being deaf does not diminish anything in this boy. He loves life!! He would make a great addition to almost any family. Almost? Well, not everyone should have dogs. And no, a deaf dog is not for everyone. But, they certainly can bring a lot of joy to your life. Just ask Echo the Deaf Pittie Mix's mom. He is also quite the dog!

Samson is still hoping for his forever home. He's safe and loved with foster Mom and Dad, but he knows he's with them waiting for the special family that will adopt him. Samson is now about 8 months old. Samson was rescued by a good samaritan that found him dumped behind a building and brought him to the SPCA Montreal. Although super intelligent, Samson IS a special needs ONLY because he is deaf. PLEASE DO NOT BE SCARED of the fact that he's deaf. He listens well and he's like any other dog that needs to be educated. Just more body language and gestures than just words.


He is a mix : Dogue Argentin, American Terrier, Boxer (don't know the percentages)
Neutered & UTD with all shots.

Exploring!

Socialized with kittens, cats, small and big dogs (was good with mine anyways)
Learns quickly and wants to make his mom and dad happy. Is a cuddle bug
Crate trained & 95% house trained... come on, he's a rescue from the SPCA and God know what his past is.. That's amazing!

Reaching out for Samson means another dog can be brought into a foster system. Let's face it, dogs with special needs often start with the same fate Samson did. Please help open another door for another dog, and share Samson.
